Today was an exciting day.
I have been waiting on a delivery and today it came! My new Sephora makeup picks arrived! Last week (at almost 6 months postpartum) I decided I needed some freshening up and excitement in my life and I was going to update some of my makeup items. I have really been slacking on purchasing new makeup, so what I currently have is pretty old and I have gotten so bored with it. I actually have avoided makeup when I can lately because I haven’t had anything exciting to use.
So, it was time for a refresh. I purchased some items from Sephora and some from Target, but today I’ll just go over what I got from Sephora.

- Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder. I have never used a setting powder before, so I am excited to try this! This one from Huda Beauty gets great reviews. I purchased this in the color Pound Cake, which seemed like a good fit, but we’ll see once I use it.
- Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter. I have been using a Lancome Concealer for the past few years. I really loved the original one I had. When I ran out and needed to get a new one I purchased a different version of the same item and it just was not the same. It was much more chalky in texture and uncomfortable on my skin. When I ended up not liking the most recent Lancome concealer I had, I decided to try something new and have seen great reviews of the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter so I ordered it.

3. Clinique Chubby Stick in Fuller Fig. Every time I have seen someone talking about a lip color lately, it has been Fuller Fig! It’s a beautiful deep reddish color which is perfect as we begin to head into the fall. I am generally not a lip color girl, but I am trying to step out of my comfort zone and try something new.
4. Sephora Matte Shadow & Liner in color 35. Back when I was in college I would often wear white eyeliner. I liked it at the time and it was in style, but I’ve moved out of that and looking back it looked very stark on my eyes. Now that the white eyeliner trend has come back in style, I wanted to put my own spin on it. I love that a light eyeliner does open up the eyes a bit, but didn’t think going back to the bright white color would do well for me now. I decided to try a nude color. I am hoping that it will brighten up my water line without being as drastic as a bright white.

There are a few other items I am still in the market for, so if you have any suggestions for those, let me know in the comments below! I am still on the hunt for a good lip liner pencil (I am considering the NYX Pencil in Nude Truffle) and an eye shadow palette, but unsure what brand I want for that. I’d love to hear suggestions!
