If you are tired of having to think of dinners each week for your family, welcome to the club. I have compiled a list of 6 dinners for your family this week and have included a grocery list of everything you’ll need. All you need to do is the shopping.
One of the most time-consuming parts of my weekends is thinking of dinners for my family for the upcoming week, writing all the ingredients down for a grocery list, and shopping for the food. However, my little secret is that I don’t mind doing this, but I know how time-consuming and tedious it is, so I figured I’d share my weekly dinner meal plan as well as the grocery list.
I choose six dinners each week for my family because there always seems to be a night when, for whatever reason, we get takeout. Sometimes it’s because I’m not up to cooking, other times it’s because something comes up and we aren’t home in time, and allowing ourselves one night free to order whatever we’d like is always nice. The “free night” moves around throughout our weeks based on our schedules, so it’s not a set day.
In addition, having set meals makes things easy because you can move meals throughout the week to fit what you feel like cooking or eating on any given night. For example, there are two chicken dishes in this set of meals, but I would not have two nights of chicken in a row.
This week, I was feeling inspired by Asian cuisine. Our meals last week were heavily inspired by hearty American cuisine, so we are excited for a lighter week in terms of ingredients. I did include one meal that we had last week which is a very simple pasta. It was so easy and loved by both of my kids, so no way I was not going to make that again!
Below are our six meals for the week and the included full grocery list of ingredients needed is below as well. Most of them ended up being from the same blog and luckily the blog itself was so easy to use (some recipes are so difficult to read). Each recipe is linked below – so make sure to click the link to find the full recipes!
Chinese Garlic Tofu Stir Fry
Sticky Asian Meatballs
Effortless Crockpot Pasta
This pasta was so simple and ended up being so good I had to include it again this week. It is made in a slow cooker (I use my Instant Pot on the slow cooker setting) and was a hit for everyone in my family including the kids! The link is a bit complicated because there doesn’t seem to be a separate page for the recipe, but if you click the link, scroll down a bit and the recipe is there.
Crispy Teriyaki Salmon
Coconut Thai Curry Chicken
Instant Pot Cashew Chicken
Ingredients Needed – Full Grocery List
Below is the list of all ingredients needed for all of the recipes listed above. You should be able to print this page or copy and paste the list into your Notes app on your phone or computer and have a handy list of everything you need for dinners this week. If you are unsure of the quantities needed for any recipe, make sure you click the link of the recipe in question and you’ll be able to find the full information.
