I tried both the Free People Freya set and the Amazon Sweater Set lookalike. Here is my honest review of both and which one I chose to keep. The Free People Freya set is a hugely popular set right now and I keep seeing people talk about the “dupe” being so amazing, so it was first on my list of items to try.

Review:
There are multiple different colorways for this set, so there’s an option for everyone. I chose the blue because I have been feeling like I am in need of some color in my wardrobe. This set can be dressed up or down as it’s a relatively casual outfit but works well for an outing. In addition, it can be worn as separates rather than a set if you’d rather that. For $128, it’s definitely a pricier set, but considering it is a two piece set and can be worn as separates it can be thought of as a good deal for two pieces.
I felt that the quality was very good for this set. The sweater is very thick so for being a short sleeve sweater it feels very warm which will work well as we head into fall. I was unsure of how I would like the pants because they are so loose fitting, but they were actually quite flattering! The pant waistband is thick which makes them super comfortable.
I was pleasantly surprised by this set and really like it!

Review:
This Amazon set is an extremely close lookalike to the Free People Freya Set (obviously it was created to pretty much match the Freya set, I would assume). The material is different as it says it is 100% rayon. When trying this one on, it is obvious the sweater top is a lighter material and not as warm. The pants are thinner in material and I found the waistband to be thinner and slightly more tight, so they were not as comfortable.
The colors are a close match but not exact, and I felt they were slightly less vibrant than the Free People set.
The Dupe Digest Overall Pick
While I do think that the Amazon set is an extremely close match, I personally chose to keep the Free People Freya Set. I liked that the sweater was thicker and more substantial as well as that the waistband on the pants was more comfortable.
I definitely understand the hype of this set now as it is cute and also so comfortable!
As for price, I decided that it was worth it to spend the $128 rather than the $49.99. The reason I chose this is because I felt the quality was better on the Free People set and that it would last longer.
The Amazon set felt thinner and lower quality (which makes sense for a lower price) but I wanted a piece that will last. At times I have purchased cheaper items and overall it doesn’t end up saving me money because the piece doesn’t last as long and I just end up purchasing it multiple times or having to replace the piece with something else.
Have you tried out any other dupes? Would you like me to compare any? I am always looking for dupes to try, so let me know in the comments below!
